On 26 th Januuary 2016, Riva St Kilda hosted a celebratory Australia Day event. Situated on St Kilda beach, Melbourne, the event encompassed an emblematic Australia Day BBQ, showcasing prominent performers, music and Australian food with a headlining performance by internationally acclaimed artist, Fatboy Slim. The event catered to 3500 guests.

Elite Image Events were hired to oversee the project management, production and implementation of the entire event. Site visits started 3 months prior to the event, where we began developing key strategies for the design and implementation for the extraordinary event. Elite Image Events conquered obstacles that often arise when hosting such an enormous event including; apt stage locations and secure access for a large amount of guests. We were required to manage and sustain various artists ever growing list of requirements and facilitated each aspect of production to ensure the event ran smoothly.
CAD drawings supported us with the event design, as it was the first time this amount of patrons were expected to to attend the venue. Extra resources were required to cater for the numbers and entailed the organization of extra lavatories, grandstand, site huts, bars, sand and refrigerated containers that could accommodate for an event of this magnitude.

The event was a success and the Elite Image Events crew ensured the headlining artist was escorted into the venue following stipulated plans to clear the inside road, allowing him and the touring party private and succinct access. The venue operations team worked effortlessly and efficiently with our grounds team and the event was executed exactly as planned. The feedback received from the venue, client, promoter and patrons were astounding and we have no doubt we will be working with this venue in the future.
